Featuring a cardioid pickup pattern, the BY-VM600 focuses on recording the person directly speaking in front of the mic, while rejecting unwanted noise coming from the back and sides. The mic is equipped with an integrated rubber shock absorber that isolates it from bump and vibration noises, keeping your sound clean.

A switchable low-cut filter helps reduce low-frequency noise caused by wind, traffic noise, and camera shake. There is also a switchable +10 dB booster that lets you raise your recording level in quiet situations.

The BY-VM600 is powered via a AA battery. It comes with a foam windscreen for indoors recordings and a furry windjammer for outdoors shoots.
