About this item
These are neutral density filter used to control the amount of light entering the camera lens for the following three reasons. 
To adjust film speed.
To lower the shutter speed for special effects.
To decrease the depth-of-field.
 
Reduces the amount of light to the camera sensor by 2 f-stops without effecting colour balance
Enables slow shutter speeds to be used to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, providing a silky smooth effect to flowing water
Decreases depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used, helping to separate subjects from their background
Eliminates overly bright, washed-out images
